Android Tricks
Android is one of the most famous mobile platform available now a days. I recently bought a samsung galaxy mobile with android OS installed. But it supported only few languages and fonts. I tried a lot to install indian fonts, chinese and arabic fonts on it and failed many times. I also tried many softwares and applications from android market. But all of them gave me only failure. Finally I found out a best way to install the desired font on android. Now  my android supports additional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Arabic, Hindi etc. Just follow the steps given below and see. Your android mobile will start supporting the font you like. You will never see white boxes after this! Let’s start. Follow the steps in order.
Step 1: First of all, you must root your android device. Rooting is a simple process. Rooting your android device will help you to enhance your mobile features such as adding new fonts, new themes, new actions etc. How to root your android? It’s very simple. You can easily do with the application z4root – DOWNLOAD IT HEREThen copy the file to your sdcard (Memory card) and install it. Your device will be rooted.

Step 2:
Now you have to download applications Superuser, Android Terminal Emulator and  Busybox from android market. Just open android market from your device and do a search. After getting the applications “SUPERUSER“, “TERMINAL EMULATOR” and “BUSYBOX“, install them.
Step 3: Then copy the font (must be of .ttf format) you like from your PC to your sdcard (Memory card). Locate the file directly in your sdcard and do not store it in any particular folder in your sdcard. Rename the name of the font file to “DroidSansFallback
(Hint: To access the fonts in your PC, go to Settings > Control Panel > Fonts. For Tamil, copy Latha  font. Likewise for other languages, copy the respective font from your system to your sdcard)
Step 4: Then open the ‘Terminal Emulator’ application and type the code exactly as given below. Type the line one by one and hit ‘enter’ after the end of each one. (Case-Sensitive)
su
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
chmod 4755 /system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf
dd if=/sdcard/DroidSansFallback.ttfof=/system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf
reboot
Now your will restart automatically. The font you desired will be supported by your android. Similarly by redoing the same with another font, you can install that too in your device. You will surely like. Try it.
